Blast Control Plugs were developed by experienced mining engineers that have specialized explosives and drill and blast experience. We have developed a stemming plug that has proven to control 2, 5 tonnes of explosives confined in one large 311mm blast hole, 38 m deep with 11 m uncharged columns and our plug positioned 6 m deep. The comparison with 11 m stemmed, simply just ejected above the 2, 5 tonnes detonating bulk explosives.

Blast Control Plugs has proven to outperform crusher aggregate as stemming and are effective by using drill chips only.

Blast Control Plugs simply improve fragmentation and reduce air blast, fly rock and vibrations on neighbour infrastructure. They secure safer blasting and safer mining. They protect our environment and reduce noise, dust and CO2 emissions that in turn reduce earth warming.

Blast Control Plugs can be used to reduce fines in ore types where unwanted fines impact on the sales price such as Manganese, Hematite Iron Ore and Coal. The more correct powder factor can be used as energy is not lost through unwanted stemming ejection.

Blast Control Plugs can reduce the mean blasted ore size to increase the plant production where milling is required.
